The Diminishing Present, in the Autumn of 2009 Ben Wright will premiere a distinctive new work for his company - About Around

Collaborating with four outstanding performers: Keir Patrick, Delphine Gaborit, Theo Clinkard and Anna Bjerre Larsen, About Around pays reference to the timeless tradition of a circular gathering, seating it’s audience in a ring of 50 chairs.

The dancers enact a sequence of events that chart the passing of
an hour, exploring ritualistic conventions from primitive to modern day. The result, is an intimate and spellbinding experience, bringing you so close to the skin of the performance, you are almost within it.

With lighting design by Guy Hoare and a sound score by Alan Stones, About Around is an immersive sixty-minute act of attention, that layers the visual and aural and let’s the audience do the mixing.
